San Jose Pet Grooming & Boarding
Kennel SupervisorThomas P.
Tom has come to us after extensive work in the United States Air Force, SATCOM, as a Sergeant. He worked in various capacities at NASA Ames Research Center and since then worked in a wide variety of retail businesses before opening a business out of his home. He is now realizing his dream of working with animals as a kennel attendant. If you cannot find Tom, we know he is in our cat ward giving lots of love to our kitties who are boarding. This being no surprise because at home Tom loves and cares for eight cats!
Kennel AssistantAbraham B.
Abe has been with VCA since 2011. He grew up in San Jose and attends Evergreen Valley College part time. He does not have any pets of his own, so he treats all the animals that board with us like family. After work he enjoys playing the guitar and hanging out with friends and family.
Kennel AssistantCandi B.
Candi followed her love of animals and joined VCA in 1996. She has worked all over the hospital and can be called in to help with anything. Candi grew up in San Luis Obispo and Fresno. After working at VCA for several years she went back to school at Heald College and received her Associates degree in Medical Office Management. At home with her 4 cats (Taz, Jake the crazy, Jasper Waffles and Lyn the Lynx) Candi enjoys playing video games, reading science and history books, and stitching. She loves taking care of all the animals in the hospital and making sure their time here is as pleasant as possible.
Kennel AssistantSamantha O.
Samantha, or Sam, joined our team in March of 2014. After graduating from high school she decided to get her foot in the door by applying at our hospital for animal care. Her passion for animals was very evident after she told us about her menagerie at home! She has 4 cats (Big Kitty, Isabel, Pumpkin, and Nimbus), 1 rabbit (Black Jack), and some tropical fish. She grew up in San Jose and loves being outdoors, with her pets. While working in kennels she loves seeing new dogs and cats everyday and treating them like they are one of her own. She hopes to work her way up to being a technician one day.
Cheryl has always had a passion for animals and she found her love of grooming them several years ago. You can always find her talking baby talk to the animals she is working on. They all love her and so do we!
