    Gina Bongiorni

My name is Gina, and I’ve been a veterinary technician since 2006. I am fortunate to work at VCA Allenwood where I can blend my passion for veterinary medicine and management. I earned an MBA in 2008 and am currently pursuing a degree and certification in veterinary technology. My former dog Mikey sparked my love of animals and taught me about kindness, compassion, and respect for our four legged companions. I was lucky to have spent fifteen years with him, and my goal is to help all of our patients the same opportunity to live a long and healthy life. My fiancé James and I live with our three rescued pets: Orville and Scout (our cats) and Taco (our Chihuahua).

My passion is animals  and I have been a vet tech for 10 + years. Growing up with many different animals I always knew I wanted to be in the field of veterinary medicine. I currently have 4 cats, 2 dogs, chickens, horses, and lizards. On my off time I enjoy spending time with my family and animals. I look forward to meeting you and your furry or feathered family members!

    Lindsey B.

Hello my fellow animal lovers! My name is Lindsey and I am a mother of a 3 yr old little boy and a 5 yr old Pit Bull. Being a  young child who hated reading, my mother introduced me to Zoobooks because she saw my love for animals and knew that was probably the only way she could get me to read anything. She was right. Zoobooks broadened my love and knowledge for animals at a young age. I knew then that all I ever wanted to do was work with and help animals as much as I could. It is my dream to be working as a Vet Tech and I love every minute of it. This is my 3rd yr in the Vet field. I am fairly new here at Allenwood being hired June of 2014. I enjoy this hospital very much and have learned so much in this short period working here.

Since I was a child I have always had a strong connection and fascination with all types of animals. I've been a veterinary technician for more than 10 years now. I have been here at Allenwood Animal Hospital for about 4 years. My specialty here at Allenwood is understanding feline behavior, which is why they named me the cat champion of our hospital. I am a native of Long Beach Island. I have 4 pets of my own, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I feel lucky that I am able to work with animals every day!

I have always had a love for animals and enjoyed interacting with them since I was a little girl.   I was lucky enough to be hired as a technician at a private practice for 4 years.  I am a newer member of the VCA family. I worked at a Florida VCA for 2 years and transferred back to NJ. I’ve attended seminars and have had amazing hands on experience throughout my career as a technician. I have four wonderful Springer Spaniels and a Cavalier. Sadie, Ruby and Chunck live with my parents.  Chloe (who I consider my best friend) and Sookie live with my fiancé and I. On my free time I enjoy going to the beach, taking my dogs for a run, nature walks, basically anything outdoors and hanging out with my family.

In 1969 Dr. Reynolds was finishing Brielle Animal Clinic and hired me as a caregiver for his two children. When the hospital opened I became kennel person and then technician plus my job was to order supplies and get the bills together for his accountant. Dr. Reynolds sent me to countless training sessions, some of which were a week long at Rutgers.
In 1981, when Allenwood Animal Hospital opened, he gave my husband and I the apartment upstairs and we lived here with 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs and Wilma the woodchuck! In 1986, we moved to upper Freehold Township and another doctor moved into the apartment. Today the apartment section serves as our employee lounge, meeting center and administration offices.
At 80 years of age, I still am happily working at Allenwood Animal Hospital as a valued hospital attendant, kind of full circle!

My name is Cindy and I'm one of the newest members to the Allenwood team. I started in this field in Florida as a kennel manager working my way up to a veterinary technician. This has always been a dream job for me along with becoming a clown in the Ringling Brothers Circus. Dreams can happen. I moved back to New Jersey with Scott, my boyfriend of five years, and I am the proud owner of a big boy named K.C. who is a 24 lb. orange cat - full of love. My hobbies include making balloon animals, painting ceramic houses, and just enjoying the outdoors. I have two daughters Jamie and Carly who live in Florida. Jamie is studying to become a marine biologist and Carly a veterinarian at the University of Florida.
