I have been a veterinary technician since 2006 and am currently pursuing a degree and certification in veterinary technology. I did not discover my love for animals until later in life and was actually afraid of animals for most of my youth. My dog Mikey, a charismatic pug, changed this. I credit him for making me want to learn as much as possible about providing our pets with the best care possible. I also have two amazing cats, Orville and Scout, who supply lots of love along with daily entertainment!

Since I was a child I have always been fascinated with all types of animals. I have been a veterinary technician for about 8 years now and I'm a new member of the team here at Allenwood Animal Hospital. I am always eager to learn more. Over the years I have routinely attended veterinary seminars and have accumulated many hours of continuing education credits. I am a native of Long Beach Island, in the warmer months I enjoy kayaking or relaxing on the beach. I have two kitties at home, Ascher is my older guy and Lily is my younger female.

In 1969 Dr. Reynolds was finishing Brielle Animal Clinic and hired me as a caregiver for his two children. When the hospital opened I became kennel person and then technician plus my job was to order supplies and get the bills together for his accountant. Dr. Reynolds sent me to countless training sessions, some of which were a week long at Rutgers.
In 1981, when Allenwood Animal Hospital opened, he gave my husband and I the apartment upstairs and we lived here with 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs and Wilma the woodchuck! In 1986, we moved to upper Freehold Township and another doctor moved into the apartment. Today the apartment section serves as our employee lounge, meeting center and administration offices.
At 80 years of age, I still am happily working at Allenwood Animal Hospital as a valued hospital attendant, kind of full circle!

My name is Cindy and I'm one of the newest members to the Allenwood team. I started in this field in Florida as a kennel manager working my way up to a veterinary technician. This has always been a dream job for me along with becoming a clown in the Ringling Brothers Circus. Dreams can happen. I moved back to New Jersey with Scott, my boyfriend of five years, and I am the proud owner of a big boy named K.C. who is a 24 lb. orange cat - full of love. My hobbies include making balloon animals, painting ceramic houses, and just enjoying the outdoors. I have two daughters Jamie and Carly who live in Florida. Jamie is studying to become a marine biologist and Carly a veterinarian at the University of Florida.
