VCA All Pets Animal Hospital Boulder

Kristin Gablehouse, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Colorado State University

Biography

A Colorado native, Dr. Gabelhouse received her veterinary degree from Colorado State University. Following graduation she pursued her career goal of becoming an equine surgeon, first heading out of state to a private practice equine internship in California, followed by an equine surgical residency at Washington State University. When she was no longer able to keep up with the physical demands of equine surgery, she changed directions and completed a small animal internship at WSU. In the summer of 2009, Dr. Gabelhouse moved back to Colorado, working as a relief veterinarian for several general practices and emergency clinics around the Denver metro area, as well as commuting for relief work to an emergency practice in California. Dr. Gabelhouse and her husband, along with our dog Trooper, live in the Broomfield area, After joining VCA Allpets in November of 2010, she is thrilled to finally be in Colorado full-time. Outside of work, she spends time trail running, and training for ultra-marathons, as well as being an avid cyclist, and skier. She has climbed almost all of Colorado's 14,000' peaks, and is looking forward to living and working so close to some great trail running and hiking opportunities!
