    Tara Shea

    Tara is native to Alaska. Originally from North Pole, she moved to the Anchorage area in high school. Tara has worked at APC since August 2014 and she says she loves it! Tara has a terrific commitment to client service and patient wellness.   She is studying to be a certified and licensed veterinary technician. Tara has been volunteering at the Bird Treatment and Learning Center since 2013.  She would someday like to work in wildlife rehabilitation.Tara lives with her husband Brian and their “pack” of hermit crabs. Tara is an avid traveler and has spent much time in Thailand, Honduras and the Philippines.

    Shelby Drake

    Shelby was born and raised in Alaska. She received her BS in Animal Sciences from Washington State University. Shelby would like to one day go to Veterinary School.  She loves working at APC as she hopes to gain experience in the veterinary field. Someday Shelby would like to own her a veterinary practice. Shelby has a grey tabby named Noel. Every year her family takes a trip to Mexico. Shelby enjoys anything outdoors- from skiing to biking and hiking.

    Mary Herrera

    Originally from Napa California, Mary has lived in Alaska since 2013. Mary is attending Alaska Pacific University and studying Environmental Science; her goal is to attend veterinary school someday. Mary has worked at APC since October 2014 and she enjoys her time here. Mary has a cat named Domino Kitty, dogs named Koda and Jayda, and two guinea pigs- Gus Gus and Jack Jack.  Mary’s hobbies actually include cleaning! This makes her a perfect fit for the boarding department! Mary also likes reading and her favorite author is Jodi Picoult.
