VCA Alaska Pet Care Animal Hospital

About Our Hospital

We specialize in dogs, cats, birds, and exotics. Two of our doctors excel in ultrasound diagnostics. We open up our hospital to the public for a Reptile Rondy in February in conjunction with the city's Fur Rondy Celebration. We also work with a dog and cat rescue group. Our staff is well-trained and a pleasure to work with.

Special Services Offered

In addition to the traditional services you'd expect from a veterinary hospital, we offer a selection of specialized veterinary services. For example, we specialize in treating exotic pets, including reptiles, pocket pets and birds. And we provide onsite grooming and boarding, so you can count on us to meet all your pet's needs.

If you aren't sure if we offer a specific service that's important to you, please ask us. If we don't already offer it, we can refer you to one of our sister animal hospitals in the area or to one of our veterinary referral hospitals.

About Anchorage, AK

Anchorage has mountains on three sides and an inlet on the fourth. Our temperatures are fairly moderate for a winter climate. We receive plenty of snow for winter sports and plenty of sunshine for summer activities. There are two universities in the city and plenty of nightlife for all. We have an open-air market in the summer, a tree lighting ceremony right after Thanksgiving, Fur Rondy, the start of the Iditarod, two semi-professional baseball teams, an excellent semi-pro hockey team and much more.
