Mer is originally from the Chicago area and moved out to Colorado to attend CU Boulder, she graduated with a degree in evolutionary biology and ecology.

When not in the hospital, Mer loves to spend her time snowboarding, attending concerts, traveling, or spending time with her German shepherd mix, Nyoki. Her favorite place she has traveled was Kenya, where she went on a safari!
