VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital

Stacey Daley, DVM, Staff Veterinarian

DVM, University of Florida

Biography

Dr. Stacey Daley received her BS in Zoology and DVM from the University of Florida. While at school, she was fortunate enough to participate in veterinary trips vaccinating street dogs in the Yucatan and working with local cattleman in Ecuador to prevent the spread of Foot and Mouth Disease.

Dr. Daley spent the first nine years of her career working as an associate at a busy small animal practice in Chicago, Illinois. Life in the city was fun, but the mountains were calling and so she was thrilled to relocate to Colorado and join the team at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in 2013.

Her special interests include internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and field medicine. This interest in field medicine has led to many incredible opportunities including assisting with teaching clinics for veterinarians in El Salvador and sterilizing street dogs in India. Dr. Daley spends four weeks a year working as a contract field vet for the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association-Rural Animal Veterinary Service (HSVMA-RAVS), an organization that provides free veterinary services for the pets of people located in Native American reservations where veterinary care often does not exist. She returns home from these clinics excited having helped so many animals and having worked with talented veterinary professionals from all over the country, as well as grateful for a bed and a hot shower.

Dr. Daley and her fiancé have been living it up since moving to the beautiful state of Colorado and spend their days off hiking, biking, rock climbing and snowboarding. When home, they spend time with their cats Pip and Boogie Man, and their Mastiff, Boomer who is not aware of his greying muzzle and continues to act like a puppy.
