VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital

Carrie Wang, DVM, Staff Veterinarian

DVM, Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Carrie Wang was raised in Laramie, Wyoming, then went to middle and high school in Arvada, Colorado. She received her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. After graduation, she moved to Virginia to complete her DVM degree at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Wang completed a one-year rotating internship in emergency/critical care and specialty departments at the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in the busy Washington D.C. Metro area.

She is excited to be returning to the mountains of Colorado as part of the veterinary staff of Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. Her professional interests include neurology, surgery, and preventative health care. In her free time, she likes to relax by catching up on some TV, traveling, enjoying delicious foods, and hiking in the mountains with her dogs Waya (a shepherd mix) and Ridley (a Mini Aussie). Dr. Wang also loves spending time cuddling with her cats - a Maine Coon mix named Rooney, and 2 long-haired calicos named Robin and Olive.
